How to setup and swap Dreamcast multidisc games?

Haven’t been able to work out how to correctly setup and also swap discs when playing multidisc Dreamcast games. Using the default Flycast Dreamcast emulator in Batocera.

Each game disc is stored in separate folders with all the games in GDI, BIN & RAW format. As the Bin & Raw files on each disc contain the same file name. Hence the need for separate folders for each game disc.

EG D2/D2 Disk 1, D2/D2 Disk 2, D2/D2 Disk 3, D2/D2 Disk 4.

Also how do you swap discs when playing games as it asks to swap to another disc?

Thanks. For Dreamcast. Provided your m3u file is setup correctly so the game knows where to find each disc for the game.

Press

Hotkey + L1 - Open virtual disc tray.
Hotkey + L2 - Change to previous disc EG 4, 3, 2, 1 etc
Hotkey + R2 - Change to next disc EG 1, 2, 3, 4 etc
Hotkey + L1 - Close virtual disc tray and load selected disc.

So manual disc changing for Dreamcast . Does the Dreamcast emulator support automatic disc changing?

Also remembers the disc from previous play. Eg if disc 4 was last inserted. Game will start with disc 4 next time you play the game. You will need to switch back to disc 1.

I do not know if automatic disc swapping is supported or not by that core. You might be better served asking in libretro’s forum/discord server.
