TillmanZ Hi there! As the kernel 4.14 seems to include some very interesting improvements (1080p for Kodi finally) I wonder if you plan on upgrading Batocera to that kernel in the "near" future?
nadenislamarre our current buildroot version can go up to kernel 4.12 but i've not planned to upgrade soon to be in a stable period. and concentrate on fixing bugs.

TillmanZ Awesome! Thanks a lot! As I saw that Midwan added xu4 as target in the Amiberry SDL2 branch makefile I hope that Batocera for the XU4 will feature Amiberry as well soon. 🙂
nadenislamarre yes, it would be nice too. it would be easier with the sdl2 branch however. i don't know if that's stable or not, i don't know how to discuss with Midwan
nadenislamarre for 5.17, i've build a version of xu4 with kernel 4.14 (and without kodi), (now batocera can be compiled with kodi support disabled). here is a test version (not yet tested recently only side) https://batocera-linux.xorhub.com/upgrades/odroidxu414/
