Read/Write Saves from Content Directory

Hello all,

Is it possible to get retroarch to save and load game saves from the roms directory? All of my other devices put roms and saves in the same folder and I find this easier.

It is a retroarch setting (savefiles_in_content_dir = “true”) that can be simply set to true to enable, but I don’t know the best way to enable it with batocera. One normally enables it in retroarch.cfg

Does anyone have any tips to enable?

This is not supported in Batocera, and forcing it to do so will break a lot of functionality.

It’s worth organising your save files as in the long run it’s better anyway.

Gotcha, thanks for the help. It’s unfortunate, I really like batocera and this is a feature I need to make it easier to use with my other devices. It’s good to get a definitive answer on this.
