Unable to Flash Batocera Image to USB Drive

I have been unable to flash batocera to a USB drive. I used a 500 MB Ultra Fit Sandisk on a Windows 10 machine. I have used different USB flash drives with the same negative results. I also used other browsers to download the batocera image without any luck.

BalenaEtcher works as described on YouTube videos, but it fails the flash at the end of its validation. Unfortunately, BalenaEtcher does not display any messages of why it fails the flash other than a popup window indicating that the flash has failed.

Has anyone in this forum had this issue? If so, how do you fix it?

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

I presume you mean 500GB flash drive..not 500MB lol

Anyway.Ive never has an issue with Etcher myself but I know some do so I suggest instead of etcher to flash try Rufus,or Pi Imager. Many prefer those.

Worth a shot.

btw;The ultra fit models being so small can get hot when in use..not sure its the best choice for Batocera,

I have used one in the past.but only to boot Batocera,I had my roms on a sep drive.

Now I use dedicated PC and internal hdd though for the whole thing.

retro_hombre_249 Try extracting the image first and then flashing it.

Outside that, the issue is probably with your USB port.
