I have a few technical questions for the future, since apparently you are already working on V36.

1) can include the reading of “ink” files by default on all systems with iso (winne for example)? linux by default can read windows shortcuts so it would save space for our hard drive.

2) can we modify the default dreamcast input and add the two keys L3 and R3 which would be missing in the mapping.

3) is it possible to add a KeyToPad for the future? it works one way… it must necessarily work the other way too I think.
I have taito Type-x rooms playable with winne but only with keyboards.

In short: the error message mount error(22): Invalid argument Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs) and kernel log messages (dmesg) comes up in the mount log.

This does not occur on v34 stable, I’m still able to read my NAS and use it with that version.

Edit: This has been fixed.

In short: this is a combination of the syntax changing and RetroArch invalidating the old values.

In short: could be fixed by bumping ostree.

Hi! Thanks for this new version!! Two things that I noticed:

flatpack config does not launch via F1 (nothing happens when I click on the icon)
In Dreamcast using flycast standalone the pad keys are very strange: for instance no trigger so no possibility to accelerate in crazy taxi. Previously the pad keys were assigned correctly

I am on X86_64 with nvidia graphics card.

Hi,

Although I no longer use Bateroca (switched to Retrobat) because I could no longer benefit from versions later than v32 for my GTX680, thank you for adding the legacy nvidia 470 drivers!

    * add: Nvidia card autoconfiguration : no more need to enable the nvidia configuration.
    * add: fallback config option to use the Nvidia legacy drivers 'nvidia-driver=legacy' or legacy390
    * add: Nvidia 'legacy' linux driver 470.129.06 & 390.151

Maybe I will come back to batocera for a future project to reuse my gtx680 when I have replaced it.

Been using the beta recently, just to see how it performs on my small PC. So far very pleased. Nothing dramatic to report so far for my use case, and very much looking forward to the final release. The only thing I will list is that I notice that bezels aren’t appearing for standalone emulators. My understanding was that Batocera now displays bezels even for standalone emulators, but I don’t see them. I run my tiny PC at 720p as performance is better this way - could this be a reason? It’s not a big deal but it would be great to see this fixed before release.

Xanac_13 I think something broke bezels for standalone for resolutions other than 1080p. Someone already made an issue report on it too: https://github.com/batocera-linux/batocera.linux/issues/6777

Kathulu iirc this was one of the issues addressed. Best way is to download the beta and test for yourself!

Unable to run Wine windows games at v35 beta. Or it gets stucked in lauching, or tries to launches and quit.

When enable DEBUG or MF, it gets stuck, the only way I found to tries to launch but suddenly quits, was set to HIDE NVIDIA.

i also tried to rollback to v34 but it gets stuck in UPDATING BATOCERA..

And yes, I’m using a Nvidia GPU.

Otherwise, at a non NVIDIA but a Intel Mesa one, I could play some games setting the MF ON at some games, others the issue remains, games are unplayable, gets stuck at launch or quits.

Or it says the game has no directx3D or directx11 for games that worked on v34.

Or even says it needs a linux system!?

Hey guys, the libretro:ppsspp has a save issue on pi4 v34 (it simply can’t ingame save).
Is this solved in v35 beta?

Désolé d’écrire en français mais je n’arriverais pas à expliquer correctement en anglais je pense.
Sur pcsx rearmed j’ai remarqué quelque chose d’étrange sur mon vieux acer 1810tz en lançant Grandia (pal) avec un bezel.
Précision le scanline zfast est activé (nid d’abeille donc) les autres modes scanlines ralentissent cet ordi.
Contrairement à la V34 ou les savestates ne fonctionnaient plus là tout est ok, par contre, je n’atteins que 41-42fps alors que j’avais 50fps constants sur la v33.
En faisant plusieurs tests j’ai remarqué qu’en allant dans les paramètres du cœur (directement dans retroarch), en désactivant et en réactivant la synchro verticale, tout rentrait dans l’ordre.
Également si je lance le jeu sans bezel, tout fonctionne aussi à vitesse normale.
On dirait qu’un paramètre de batocera désactive la synchro verticale qui est pourtant marquée comme activée dans les paramètre du cœur de retroarch.
Est-ce que quelqu’un a une idée ?
Autrement sur plusieurs pc sur lesquels j’ai essayé la v35, celle-ci s’annonce comme un très bon cru.
