I found an old laptop (ASUS K50AF) while cleaning my house, and wanted to try to run some emulators on it. The computer already had Windows 10 on it and only one hdd. So what I did was, resized the windows partition and created two new partitions for batocera. Then dropped the files from vfat.img into the first new partition, and using an Ubuntu live usb, I installed grub. Windows was automatically recognized but I had to add the batocera entry manually on the grub.cfg file.
Now I can use the grub menu to boot windows or batocera, both boot fine. But I have no sound at all in batocera. Sound works fine on windows and linux.
I tried all the sound options in kodi, and all the combinations for audio output and profile options in batocera (exiting the menu each time). Using ctrl+alt+f4 I made sure everything was unmuted and with max volume in alsamixer, I see the volume overlay at 100% when exiting alsamixer with ctrl+alt+f2. Also tried running the command aplay /usr/share/sounds/Mallet.wav, but I get no sound at all, neither in the speakers or using headphones.
The output of aplay -l is:
bash-5.1# aplay -l

I am attaching a few photos (because I didn’t know how to take screenshots on batocera lol) of the options I see.
Is there anything else I can try to get the sound working?
