[SOLVED] solved. However, not sure why es_launch* gets wiped . Issue caused because mame configuration crashed if a controller was defined without a b x or y . Devs fixed it in next beta. Since crash happened before mame started, no mame log

I updated to the latest x86 v35 beta and many of my games will not work. Where do the libretro:mame and stock mame have their log files so I can see the issue. mame078plus makes the log file, but not the others. I did a factory reset and just have this batocera.conf
also batocera.log and es_launch* are zero bytes. What is going on? I had this issue on v34, but thought a factory reset would work
global.retroarch.log_dir=/userdata/system/logs/retroarch
global.retroarch.log_to_file=true
global.retroarch.log_to_file_timestamp=false
edit: Haven’t found logs, but es_launch* show up for a second, then go to zero bytes. I am able to tail -f the log file to see the content.
