PS4 Controller acting weird

Hi guys!

I have been running Batocera for a while now on a HP EliteDesk 800 G4 with a PS3 controller with zero problems. :)

A few days ago i ended up buying an original PS4 controller. When i connected it to Batocera it identified it as a “Wireless Controller”. If i try to navigate the menus with the left joystick, the menu begins scrolling out of control.

Another problem i have is when i run games with the PS4 controller the joystick has a different mapping up=down, down=up.

I tried remapping via “Controller & Bluetooth Settings” but it seems to have no effect. :(

Any kind souls that can help me with this?

Be sure that the sticks are in a neutral position when booting up.

Atari Thx for the feedback. I tried starting the system without touching the controller. But it still acts weird.

So you still notice “ghost inputs” (while navigating in ES, the menu scrolls out of control) and wrong mapping (up=down and down=up)?

And with a PS3 controller you do not have any issues at all? Only with your PS4 controller? Sounds very strange.
The “ghost inputs” could be caused by a bad bluetooth signal (or maybe low battery of the controller), but the wrong mapping i don’t know (you said, even after mapping all buttons correctly via ES controller settings, up/down are still reversed?).

Could you try with either a factory reset or with a fresh installation on a seperate usb flash drive and then test again?
