Hi everyone I have a strange issue that has me stumped
I have an older nvidia card (geforce gt 710) so after trying and failing to get it recognised on the standard desktop release(34), I found the version for nvidia legacy drivers and it worked. I have systems from old amstrad right up to wii and xbox were all working well and looking great with the club batocera theme and others. I have the batocera booting from a flash drive and everything stored on an external usb. 2 days ago my PC died so I went and got a new one(used but same specs and put the nvidia card into it).
On the new machine when I start up batocera it either goes past the splash screen and gets stuck on the game update bit or it just loops the update screen over and over before eventually getting stuck, occassionally it gets to the menu but rarely and even if it does once i have started any game and attempt to close back out to the menu it just update loops again.
So my first thought was an issue with the external drive where all the storage is, so i used a different disk, I set it from batocera so the file structures were made on the disk from batocera and then went back into windows and transfered the roms over initially it seemed to work, I even formatted and reflashed the batocera flash drive just in case. So now I’m up and running and able to play games ok and back to the menu ok. I fine the standord theme a little boring so downloaded club batocera and 2 others, applied club and all seemed ok, that is until I rebooted and straight back to the looping or sticking issue on boot up, went back to windows deleted the themes and booted again for it to work fine in the standard theme but loops in any other theme, so would seem an issue with the themes….does anyone know a fix for this??
