I wanted to do a new install of Batocera and I got a 2TB external SSD. I am on the most recent BIOS for my computer (Optiplex 9020 BIOS rev A25).
I imaged a standard plate based HDD and it worked fine but That one is exhibiting all kinds of other issues (probably due to tinkering with Batocera settings) so I wanted to just do a fresh install in an SSD for more speed.
I can boot to the drive for the first time and it works pretty quickly and then gets to the Resizing/Userdata section and sits at 75%. I imaged the drive with Balena twice, and both times it did the same thing. I then imaged the drive with win32disk imager as the img, not the compressed .gz file and its doing the same thing.
I then imaged a USB thumb drive to test it and it seems to have worked. That sorta points to a bad SSD but it seems to work in every other way. I can copy and pull data from/to it without issue.
Any ideas on this?
