Thanks for the reply Atari, I’m fairly new to this, is the boot append line something I can change from the config ini file accessed through a networked pc or do I need to SSH in?
Also, I think I may have more relevant details. The arcade is located in a place where there is no wifi accessible, so I took the pi out and brough it home to update it. I used a 1080P tv and updated to v35. When I brought it back to the Arcade and hooked it back up to the 1080P monitor, the issues started.
I have tried manually setting the game resolution to 1080 60, but the problem still occurs.
Yesterday I noticed that when the Pi is booting up, the monitor registers the HDMI signal before and right after the batocera splash screen , but the animation movie as well as the UI are a black screen. When I use the monitor knob to select the HDMI input on the monitor, the UI shows up.
I think I messed something up in the settings by updating it on my TV and now at some point in the boot process its not doing the right “handshake” with my monitor to acitivate the HDMI indput after the initial splash screen.
Is there something TV specific that may have been changed when I did the update on the tv?
Thanks again for your assistance.
