Is it possible to use an older Batocera, but update GUI to the latest?

As the title says, if I’m using ver.27 for example, is it possible to update GUI options and features to the latest (or near enough)? So the same splash screen options are present, the console images are a higher quality, the bezels are the latest etc?

5.27 is too old to update directly to v34. The boot partition has been changed. You are best off flashing into a new USB and transferring over the userdata.

Ok great, thanks for that. I just thought some of the assets might be available in the updates section. Turns out I’ve resolved my v35 problems (for now) so I’ll stick with the latest build.
