You cannot install your own cores into Batocera. This must be done at compile time, to account for the custom patches needed to compile the core within a Buildroot environment (ie. not Ubuntu or Debian or whatever else).
If you feel there is a legitimate reason to include an additional core in Batocera, and you can’t PR it yourself, feel free to make a request on the #suggestions channel on the Discord for it.
For something like “I think […] I read online that…”, you probably want to actually test that first so your claims have some base instead of just internet rumours.
