mount usb harddisk

hi guys,

i just tried to add a line in fstab, but i couldnt. when ever i make a change, after i restart it became first time.
i wanna add a line in fstab file,
i wanna change /etc/network/interfaces file,
i wanna change smb.conf file.

can you guys help me about it?

edit: i have recalbox on it, i changed roms to usb harddisk, and also i have movies on kodi library, so i need to bind harddisk to kodi. Also from my network, i reach my movies from other rooms over wifi, so i need to change ip address. so why i wanna try to change these files. please help!

i needed to run /recalbox/scripts/recalbox-saveoverlay.sh script after make the changes.
now its perfect for me! thank you guys anyway.

yes, thats it.
note that your modification are lost in case of upgrade.

note that in 5.11, the mount points are the disk partition names, so, except if you've 2 disk with the same partition names, it shoudl resolve one of your pb.

i've not understood you ip issue.
