RK2020 brightness down to black, can't increase or see screen

As the title says. Installed Batocera 35 on an RK2020, everything seems fine, no issues anywhere. Went looking for the volume hotkeys, since the hardware has no vol. control. Found out that L2 increases volume, but in an attempt to figure out which key brings it back down (apparently there isn’t one) I ended up tapping R2 several times, decreasing the brightness until screen off. Neat feature. Then I tried to raise it back up again and the story ends there.

I’ve reset the machine and it remembers the settings, I’ve tried every possible combination I can think of and I can’t get the screen back on. I’m not sure if brightness can be set via SD card config.txt or whatnot, but I can’t seem to WIFI back into it blind and it’s not auto-connecting.

Short of reflashing the entire card, I’m not sure what to do. In the event of a solution, I’d also like a method for disabling screen brightness hotkeys entirely so this doesn’t happen again.

This sounds like an issue that should be reported to the github. That way, others could benefit from a fix as well. By default, the game controls should not be altering your brightness or sound settings, something has gone wrong.

Atari Will take a look at that script, thanks for helping me find where it’s located. Seems I’m missing “BTN_TRIGGER_HAPPY3 1 batocera-brightness - 5 ”

How do I report anything to the Github page (which page?). It’ll be the first time I’ve done it.

Atari Additionally the Batocera build for the RK2020 displays battery life incorrectly. It’s gone from a steady 45% in ArkOS to 9% in Batocera in an immediate switchover. Should this also be reported in the same place?

EDIT: Been running strong at 0% for the last hour.
