how to update the system offline from an update file ?

My home internet conection has a shame ! i have to wait abou 4h to simple update my raspberry pi 3 batocera to 5.10 ....i have 20 MB internet conection , bu an error in my conection not permit the download from international sites in accesible speed ....

how i can download the update file from official site and put it on a flash drive to insert im my system and update it "off-line" im my house ?

yes you can do it.
just downlaod the file boot.tar.xz and unzip it on your sdcard/usb stick
