Apologies for the late reply, and thank you for your help. I’m aware of that folder and when inspecting it, there are occasionally alternate logos with the suffix “w” (for example “satellaview-w.svg”), but those files are not always being called in the system section of the menu. For example on Carbon Legacy with the white background strip behind the logos, I have a Dreamcast logo with a dark font so it can be seen, but in the menu for the games it renders the same logo, and it’s invisible against the dark background.
I’m assuming these files are being called from a specific xml file, or need to have the details added to one, but I’m not sure which xml file is arranging these.
EDIT: Found an xml file in subsets/systemview called ‘horizontaldark’. This specifies the file name requirements for calling logos in either JP/US or normal LOGOS format, and specifies the “-w” suffix:
<image name="logo">
<path>./../../art/logos/${system.theme}-w.svg</path>
</image>
<image name="logo" region="us">
<path>./../../art/logos/us/${system.theme}.svg</path>
<path>./../../art/logos/us/${system.theme}-w.svg</path>
</image>
<image name="logo" region="jp">
<path>./../../art/logos/jp/${system.theme}.svg</path>
<path>./../../art/logos/jp/${system.theme}-w.svg</path>
But even if I create an .svg for snes, for example, and call it snes-w.svg, it doesn’t correlate to the sub-menus a or appear. Which makes me think I’m on the right track, but this xml file is wrong, or there’s a folder somewhere housing a different set of logos I can’t find.
