I’ve got a Sinden light gun which I’m trying to get working on my home built Raspberry Pi4 arcade cabinet.
When I plug the gun in, Batocera (v35) detects the gun and shows the white border but it doesn’t track the gun at all. The cursor remains stuck in the upper left.
This same gun works perfectly on a thumbdrive installation of Batocera v35 that I occasionally use in my gaming PC so I’m sure it’s not a hardware issue with the gun.
In case this info helps: My cabinet has 2 sets of arcade controls, 2 spinners, a trackball, and a Pixelcade marquee, all of which are working fine. (Yeah, I’m pretty proud of this build.😁) I’m plugging the gun into a USB hub which is plugged into the Pi. The Pi is internal to the cabinet and so the hub is how I plug in all my temporary devices such as keyboards, mice, usb drives, other controllers, and so on. Never had any issue with the hub before but perhaps there’s some weird combination with the light gun and other things that I’m not aware of?
I’ve tried all sorts of combinations of plugging in before booting, after booting, rebooting, etc. No difference.
Has anyone got one of these things working on a Raspberry pi 4? Any tips or suggestions of things to try?
