missing /usr/pcsx2/bin/plugins

Hey everyone,

The question I’m asking can seem a bit stupid yet, very important as I don’t seem to find a lot on the web about this (including pcsx2 source code…)

I’m just trying to tweak a few pcsx2 parameters to get a better gaming experience as the rest of us, connecting back to childhood : my laptop has a slightly up to recommended configuration, so I guessed giving a go on the plugins should help speeding up the frames.

So I went on "/usr/pcsx2/bin/ but I can’t see the folder…, neither can I find any mention of it anywhere except on this nice video I found in french introducing a few hacks for pcsx2.

Is there anything I’m missing? Im running the latest version on a few computers (I got surprising results with the Dual Core Intel iMac9,7 despite the benchmarks btw, but the problem also concerns a 2013 i5 toshiba 2000+ cpu score laptop :) )

Current batocera implements pcsx2 1.7. 1.7 does not work with “plugins”.
If you really want to use “plugins”, please use the old version of batocera29-32(pcsx2 1.6)

Any particular reason plugin support was removed after v32? It particularly impacts me when trying to setup the Sinden Light Guns according to their PSCX2 documentation and needing to configure USB plugin settings as this doesn’t seem to be plug and play for me within that emulator.

Also, is there possibly a workaround someone else has around this for Sinden Light Gun support in PS2 / PSCX2 that they could provide?

Since pcsx2 1.7, the “plugins” folder is no longer available. Some plugins are in the main file (pcsx2.exe).
Is it not possible to set from pcsx2-config?

(Please note that libretro-pcsx2 does not support lightguns.)
