[5.1][XU4] Emulators won't launch games off USB after update

Hey all. Love the software! Especially since I can use it on the XU4 I have, I purchased another one exclusively for use with the Batocera. So I updated from 5.0 to 5.1 (this time, flashed the SD card since updates from Wi-Fi/Internet were busted), and I couldn't launch ANY of my ROMs/ISOs from my USB 3.0 thumb drive! Was pretty sad about it, but managed to roll it back to 5.0 to get everything working again. Any chance of getting this fixed? Also, Kodi working with game controllers yet? However, this time around, I DO have a USB remote control and a USB 3.0 hub I can use to attach to one of the ports of the XU4 if that HDMI CEC error still hasn't been resolved yet. Please advise and thank you all for your time and help. 🙂

about the drive : is it on the magic message error (github issue) ?
about the cec, the xu4 wants it to be plugged on the hdmi1. is it done ?

nadenislamarre Nope, just discovered it last night, I'll post it on there, and I'll hook it up on HDMI 1 and test it out tonight, since I'm off work now. 🙂

nadenislamarre Yes, it's on HDMI1 and the magic message error is not posted on Github yet. I'll post it. It's been mad busy at work lately.

Aha, found it: keeps resetting the display resolution back to the highest settings and bouncing it back out to ES. ONly one that doesn't set out is the N64 one. I would have to set it for each emulator one by one. Setting the global display emulator setting to CEA 1 HDMI doesn't work in the config file. Keeps going back to 'default'. Kodi also doesn't start either (doesn't even go into Kodi, just stays out in ES after a brief pause).

I had the same problem.

I renamed recalbox repertory to repertoryOLD on my USB and let the system rebuild the USB files, then copy all my roms, saves, scrap and bios from my old repertory to the new one.

Nosfay Thanks for the tip, it worked in conjunction with altering the config file. The games do anyway. Kodi is still out of commission. But I'm alright with that. I have a modded Chromebox for that.

@Nosfay where is this file you have to rename? I'm looking for it, do I have to disconnect the USB from my Odroid and rename it on the USB drive itself or can I do it over the network?
