Im hoping my problem with both of these is the same - THis issue occured with v35 and I tried upgrading to the latest beta with the same issue.
I am using an Atari VCS800 with batocera running from a USB drive. I have an XBox Elite controller connected via USB.
For the Atari8bit emu I cannot issue a “START” command. I can issue SELECT, OPTION, joystick movement, fire button. By pressing down on the Left Analogue stick I can bring up what appears to be a virtual keyboard. I can navigate this keyboard but cannot “press” the highlighted key. I have gone into the menu to change the mapping for the START key to butons on the contorller and also the “p” key on the keyboard. No matter what I do I cannot get the START button regnoized.
For the Apple2 emu I dont have a fire button mapped to my contoller by default. I have directional movement but when playing a game such as Dig Dug I cant issue a fire button command. The menu doesnt appear to allow to remap keys, just pick what type of joystick contoller I am using (joystick, keeyboard, mouse).
Any thoughts on how I can get these 2 items mapped to my joystick?
