I have been messing around with Skylanders and the portal in the Dolphin emulator and have finally fund a way to get it working.
This is only a temporary fix and I hope it will be fixed or implemented in Batocera so you don’t have to do this manually. Maybe there is someone from Batocera that can use this information to find a proper solution.
This is what I did to getting it working:
I made this file:
nano /etc/udev/rules.d/52-dolphin.rules
And pasted this in to it:
SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ENV{DEVTYPE}=="usb_device", ATTRS{idVendor}=="1430", ATTRS{idProduct}=="0150", MODE="0666"
and then I ran this command to reload the rules:
udevadm control --reload-rules
Then I made a reboot.
After the reboot I went into the Dolphin emulator via F1 -> Applications -> dolphin-emuconfig
From there I clicked on:
Options -> Configuration -> Wii -> and then added the portal to the Whitelisted USB Passthrough Devices.
That should make the portal work.
OBS: the part where I made the new file in rules will not survive an upgrade of Batocera so you must do that every time there is an update of Batocera so as I said, this is only a temporary fix and I hope someone from Batocera somehow would make this permanent or make it more user friendly.
I used the Traptanium Portal in my testing, but this will probably also work with other portals as well.
