Gecko codes won’t work on Dolphin

I first tried copy and pasting the codes over from a text file but for some reason it wouldn’t post in the code area. Afterwards, I manually typed in a code and made sure there was no errors. I had cheats enabled, the code activated, and I made sure the code worked with my region, but it would not activate during the game. Is there a solution to this or do gecko codes not work on batocera. PS it’s a widescreen hack if it matters at all.

I can confirm that gecko codes work fine. Make sure you have it saved to the correct gameID and that it’s for the correct version of the game (even if it’s the right region, it may be a different revision).

For widescreen hacks in particular, make sure you also have the “widescreen hack” option enabled in ES’s settings for Dolphin.

Atari What do you mean by ES settings? I looked through all the settings in Dolphin and found one called widescreen hack but it specifically says not to have it on while using a widescreen hack. I tried using it with the hack on anyways and the results were still the same.

ES = EmulationStation (the theme/menu you see, when you start batocera, where you can select the different systems/games). When you press Start in that menu, and then navigate to Game Settings, Per System Advanced Configuration and then Gamecube or Wii you can set different options.

That didn’t work work for me either, and it just came out with the same results. I tried a different code for the same game and it works for a few seconds, but then it had black bars at the top, as well as weird glitches that eventually just made the game go back into 4:3. I honestly do not know what the issue could be as this just works perfectly on regular dolphin for pc.
