Kodi wifi connectivity: no internet setup anywhere in menu bato35?

First off fantastic project I’m absolutely loving this. Per thread title;

-Network and wifi working within Batocera
-System boots to Batocera by default, only switch to Kodi from within bato
-Internet settings (from basic to expert settings) only shows editable proxy connection info

I cannot find the setting anywhere! Network in System Info shows IP as 127.0.0.1 and all other parameters blank. Maybe there’s a very simple thing I’m overlooking but between googling and searching the forum I can’t find it?

Nevermind, turns out bato shut off wifi and kodi went down with it. Connecting within bato then loading kodi works fine. Didn’t figure kodi would import the settings but it does.

Is there a wifi auto-shutoff/timeer setting I’m missing within batocera35? I’d rather have the service running unless I turn it off if possible

It doesn’t…

Network settings are saved to the system, batocera-boot.conf even, which is one of the first files read during the boot sequence. This is required as people who use a NAS as their userdata wouldn’t be able to access their games before ES loads.

Perhaps this is just an issue with the hardware? I know some wireless dongles behave weirdly if you don’t completely unplug them between reboots of the computer.
