batocera (PC) .img is smaller than 256gb usb won't read roms after resize

I download a 128gb.img, after I used raspberrypi imager to write it to my 256gb usb 3.0 thumbdrive, it resized the free space and the rom list loads all videos and images. When I click on a game to play the loading screen comes on and it returns to the menu I believe the config can’t find the original path to the rom is there a file I need to update in .config somewhere to redirected the path to the roms.

joinski my question, after I resize the partition or fill the unused space when I click on the rom it will not load is it possible a config file on the fat32 partition or the ext4 partition in the system folder needs to be updated or redirected to read the rom folder?

I have no idea. We can not help you, because you are not using the official image from batocera.
Because we do not know, what the creater of this image has changed. Ask there, where you got this image from for help.
