How to change the filename in a gamelist?

Hi everyone, I’m trying to create a gamelist of my Model 2 games using “Update Gamelists”. The problem is that some games doesn’t seen to be recognized at all. Like for example dayton93. I don’t want to use the scraper because it just rename all the clones with the same name which is very unconvinient. I tried to look everywhere for a file that could contain the info of this gamelist but I couldn’t find any. Any help will be really appreciated. Thanks.

When you select a game, you can edit the “metadata” by pressing and holding the button.

You can also manually modify gamelist.xml

Yes, that works if I use the scraper and I disabled the option to display the names instead of the filenames. But then, I would have to rename all my other collections as well which would be insane. Is there another list where you can set the filename of dayton93.zip? For example, daytona.zip shows as “Daytona USA (Revision A)” when I have the option to show the filenames instead of display names enabled.

“Daytona USA (Revision A)”
This seems to be displayed because mame’s rom name is the same. (see mamenames.xml)
Try installing “von.zip”. It will say “Cyber Troopers Virtual-On - Twin (Export)”.
I added “dayton93” to mamenames.xml, but it was not displayed.
(mame’s rom name is daytona93)
