Batocera hangs/screen freezes on laptop

I followed the Retro Game Corps guide on how to install Batocera on a SanDisk USB drive on YouTube. I even bought the same SanDisk USB drive but when I play games on it even on low end systems like the NES, it hangs/screen freezes. It also hangs/screen freezes on the main Batocera menu.

I’m using an Acer Aspire ES13 laptop with Windows 10. Please help. I don’t know what’s wrong with it. I know this laptop can run PlayStation games on DuckStation because I tried it.

What kind of CPU/GPU does your Notebook have?
And can you try your SanDisk USB drive on another machine (any other PC/Notebook) to see, if the same issues are there then?

joinski Intel Pentium Quad Core Processor N3710, graphics is just Intel HD Graphics, 4GB DDR3 L Memory. I tried the USB putting RetroBat on it and it works.

Try with the current beta of v36 and also with an older version like v30. Your system should be powerful enough for everything up to dreamcast/psp at full speed.
Best is to do a fresh new install. You downloaded batocera from the official website and no prebuilt image from somewhere else?
