I had a similar problem with a stable version a long time ago, so I used Puppy Linux and Gparted (it comes with it) to resize the boot partition so it’s big enough for anything that can come our way. Haven’t had any out of space ever since.
Just do it before putting roms in the user partition, it’s going to go much faster.
