I’m new to using Batocera, having moved over from RetroPie and finally got everything to where I wanted on my Raspberry Pi 4.
I then saw that there was an update to Batocera, so did that but now I have no output on my display once it goes past the initial Batocera splash screen, then my custom video splash screen - it just sits there, blank.
I had the same issue when I first installed Batocera, but the fix was to comment out **dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3d-pi4
**in the /boot/config.txt
file and uncomment **dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d
**which sorted the problem out. However, looking at the config.txt
file, I can see that this still in place.
I tried reverting back to stock, so to speak, but still nothing.
My HDMI is plugged into the most outer HDMI port and not the one directly next to the USB-C power port on the Raspberry Pi 4 - this was the same as before the update, where I had a working display.
If I run batocera-resolution listModes
I get an odd output, which might indicate something:
max-1920x1080:maximum 1920x1080
max-640x480:maximum 640x480
00:00:00.000 [common/ipc-client.c:67] Unable to connect to /var/run/sway-ipc.0.sock
I’ve tried forcing the HDMI mode to group 1 and mode 4 (for 720p @ 60Hz) just like it was before the update, but nothing.
Anybody got any ideas?
