Running the latest official image Batocera 36. First of all performance wise it’s so much better!! Only issue I am having is my display. I tried two different cables and tried a different TV set but on restart I get a blurry image, still beautiful but not as crisp. I disconnect the hdmi and plug it back in seems to resolve the issue until I restart my pie. This only started to happen after the new update.

I can confirm it is most likely a bug with V36. I tried a new SD card and new Pi on a different TV and V35 works fine. Tried a fresh install of Batocera 36 and the resolution goes blurry after a reboot. I also get a flash of green while restarting and see little white dots on the screen.

I had a similar problem….my monitor (1366 × 768) was jagged on the screen. So I manually forced the resolution on the emulationstation.

1 execute : batocera-resolution listModes

veja as resoluções disponiveis.

2- execute : cd /

3- execute : cd /boot

4- execute: mount -o remount,rw /boot

5- execute: nano batocera-boot.conf

6- add es.resolution= “put Ur resolution”

7- save de file

8- execute: batocera-save-overlay

In my case, reconnecting the hdmi doesn’t fix anything. Still green, everything works fine including the sound except that the screen is green

Every topic I can see is about the PI3, can anyone please confirm this is a bug? I mean I have tried 2 PI4s and experienced the same issue. I haven’t read any posts indicating there was an issue with the PI4 so I am just curious.

I tried this but it did not work…. Issue seems to be the pi is messing up the HDMI signal. Still plays well just blurry with a tint. I can fix the issue by unplugging the HDMI and putting it back in. Its more of a minor annoyance then anything. Scared me because I thought it was a hardware issue but low and behold it’s happening on my new PI4 too. Downgrading is a permanent fix.

joinski I have the Pie 4 My green screen is only momentarily on a reboot then my picture changes to a lower resolution. I dont have a Pie 3 so I am unsure if my work around will work for you. I have yet to see anyone report my issue though on the Pi4 when it clearly is a bug. Easy fix though but it’s not permanent.

I tried updating to the 37 beta thinking it would resolve the issue but it does not. Only perm solution is to downgrade to 35…. I am sure they will fix it eventually they do fabulous work.
