missing covers and paths images

You will see, I have an "intermittent" problem.
I have directories like the gameboy, gamecube, nds .... that at the time I downloaded the covers correctly, but then Batocera does not show them.
the problem is that now when I want to download covers again, either in manual mode or in automatic mode, I get a message saying the following "WE CANT FIND ANY SYSTEMS! CHEK THAT YOUR PATHS ARE CORRECT IN THE SYSTEMS CONFIGURATION FILE, AND YOUR DIRECT GAME AND YOU HAVE AT LEAST ONE GAME WITH THE CORRECT EXTENSIONS ".
total, I've looked at the configuration files of emulestation and batocera, but I can not find where the problem may come from.
Can you help me solve my problem with the covers?

Kinda hard to tell given the amount of info. 🙂
How about you create a screenshot of your folder structure in the roms folder and in one of the systems folders that you have some games for. Then post links to those screenshots here.
Also please paste the first 100 rows (give or take) of the gamelist.xml in that system's folder.

I have compared the file "gamelist.xml" of the directories where it does not show me the images, with another one where if it shows me the images, and the file is empty, it has no data, it does not look like a file of a directory that if it works correctly.
the directory like gameboy or gameboyadvance, the file "gamelist.xml" has nothing.
Although from Batocera I say "update list of games", it does not regenerate the file, how can I repair it?

I had the same issue on 5.10. I installed a clean install of 5.11 and re-added all my consoles, yes it sucks but... Then I've scan my librairies with Universal XML Scraper using the Recalbox setting. Like that I made a backup of all gamelist.xml and roms in case I have to format everything over.

Rebooting and all the metadata is now showing.

Sometimes I update the covers and I get everything right. as soon as they restart they have disappeared again from batocera.
if I visualize the content of the gamelist.xml of one of those platforms that does not load the images, the file is empty and has nothing.

Use Universal XML Scraper to scrape your games. It'll generate you a gamelist.xml file.

If it still doesn't work re-install Batocera.

After many tests and errors also with UXML, it is finally downloading all the covers. In the end I had to delete the xml files from the directories, and activate an option that brings UXML, so that it generates and completes them. I tried it with a couple of directories with a small amount of roms like psp or sega32x, and it worked perfectly. rebooted batocera, and the file was still maintained.
So it's been since last night scraping all the roms ....

and enable display framerate in the display menu and tell me the video ram values you have please ?
