System not stable, many freezes, bugs, etc

Hi, I've been using Batocera for approximately 2 months now and I can say it's really unstable.

I just made a new install, added a theme and now accessing UI SETTINGS in the menu make the system freeze if the bluetooth controller is on.

Often entering or exiting a game gives a black screen. When I say often it's more like 1 time out of 3. Some emulators are worst than other like the PC base one like the c64, amiga, cpc, etc.

When I'm in the F1 linux file browser often when I exit it I get a blackscreen and I need to reboot.

I really like Batocera but I think these freeze should be checked.

how many games do you have ?
can you enable display framerate in the display menu, it displays the used video ram too and give me use the values ?
i don't know the cause of the problem with black screens, but while only a view people have it and mainly on rpi, i think that there is a root cause that may be related to the video ram because es uses it a lot for the rendering, for example for jackets of games.

I almost have all systems and cart systems are full romset and pc games are best of like for the amstrad cpc, c64, apple II, etc. I would say more than 6000 games. I've set to display the fps I'll check if the data goes abnormal and if it's related to black screen.

Also I'm on a laptop X86.

i think that es is limited because of the vram of you gpu.

nadenislamarre Maybe you could add an option to reset the vram each time we exit a game.

Sure it would take more time, I guess the time to refresh the game list right?

Could be a temporary fix, I don't know!
