Please Help. F1 doesn't go to file manager

I must of messed something up. The keyboard had been going to the file manager when F1 was pressed. Now, when pressed it tells me to press A and configure the controller. Even after reconfiguring the controller, F1 still tells me this. I have alot of games installed and images scraped, I would hate to have to reinstall.

Running Batocera 35. Used a different USB port. Restarted Batocera. Nothing worked

What kind of hardware do you use? PC or Laptop? Do you have another keyboard you could attach to test with?
Or another machine, where you could test your Batocera installation on (if you have Batocera installed on a USB flash drive).

It is an old gate way 832gm desktop pc. Batocera installed directly on it’s hard drive. The keyboard worked fine until recently, don’t have another one.

Try a factory reset:

I followed the instructions and changed system to system.old and rebooted Batocera and it still does it.

F4 does work to reload Batocera. But esc, F1 and a few other buttons bring up the configure input, gamepad detected. After this pops up. If I press a key on the keyboard it “keyboard” flashes at the bottom

It worked this time.

After going into OD commander and changing the folder name. I immediately unplugged the keyboard and exited of commander via controller hotkeys. Then shut down and restarted the computer.
