Remap N64 controls

I am trying to remap the N64 control for my Dual Shock 4 controller but I can't figure it out.

Connecting to Recalbox I changed the settings in \RECALBOX\share\system\configs\mupen64 in InputAutoCfg.ini and mupen64plus.ini but both files get replaced with the default settings once I boot a N64 game.

Am I missing something?

Ive no computer thrse days to be precise. But the files you mention are generated when you run a game from usr lib python27 sitespackages configgen generators depenfing on how many pads are plugged. You can edit them however they will be erased at next update. To save after a reboot you need to save the overlay. Check the wiki.
