Odroid XU4 - Dreamcast roms not working

Hi Guys,

I am really new to Batocera and I am really liking it and it works fine for my SNES, Playstation, and N64 roms and its really easy to use as well. I used the same procedure of adding unzipped roms for Dreamcast to my roms folder, it gets detected by the emulator and all the games get reflected on the list under Dreamcast. The problem is that every time I try to start a dreamcast game, I get a fading black screen as if the game is about to start but then comes back to the list and nothing ever starts. Is there something that needs to be changed or if the roms need to be modified in certain way so as to make them work with the emulator. I have checked the unzipped folder of the roms and all of them have .bin and .gdi files in them.

Any help on how to fix this would be great.

Hi Yaazz,

I haven’t uploaded bios. I am not sure on how to do that. I am using the stock batocera image file for Odroid XU4 from the batocera website. Is there a link on how to upload the bios or if you could guide me the right direction then it would be great.

To get the bios, Google is your friend.
The easiest way to upload them is with your explorer : just go To the Batocera Shared folder and upload them in the bios folder.

I have downoaded few dremcasr roms from various website and put them in the /shares/bios folder and tested.. but it still doesnt make the games work. Is there any specific bios files that i should be looking for?

No I do not think so I am confusing them.. I have kept the roms inside the dreamcast roms folder and now I have searched and placed the following bios in my /shares/bios folder

dc_boot.bin (hash: e10c53c2f8b90bab96ead2d368858623)
dc_flash.bin (hash: 23df18aa53c8b30784cd9a84e061d008)

I am aware that you cannot share the bios link here but it would be great if you can tell me which hash rates I should follow for the dc_boot and dc_flash, as there are few other hash rates available online.. I have tried various combinations but still not able to start the roms under dreamcast.

i have downloaded bios of Dreamcast but games won't start or it only start the settings menu of the dreamcast and don't allow me to play the game.. any ideas ?

Yes I am using these two files in my bios folder as dc_boot and dc_flash, but still the roms ain't working. I have the following files in my bios folder. Kindly let me know if something looks wrong in there.
