mame is not working in most games

hi i use pi2 and also X86 PC
in both most of the mame games not working
i try diffrent version and still most of mame aint working
some times when i change the core some games working but very slow

Which games do not work? Maybe the games are broken/bad dumps. Do they work in other emulators under windows for example?
Or maybe those games are not compatible with mame emulators? Did you look up the compatability lists of the mame emulators?

i got the full set its about 20giga its says its for 0.139
maybe ill try with 078 ?

can u tell me what is the diffrents between 078- 0.139 -109 - 203

those are used by different versions of mame.
0.78 is used by lr-mame2003 and lr-mame2003plus
0.139 is used by lr-mame2010

not sure about the 2 last versions you mention or if they are even supported by retroarch.

danielshukron go to batocera config file and at the very bottom where the auto generates config file for each system delete all that that should fix it

you need to go to the settings for mame and select lr-mame2010 if you use the 0.139 romset or mame2003/mame2003plus if you use the 0.78 romset.

danielshukron you may not have to if it's a brand new install but I found if your games are an external drive it will add configuration settings that you have to the new config file deleting that fixed it for me but you may not have to but if you do be careful it's at the very bottom of the config file

That is the sort of bullshit that I hate in Batocera. No arguments matter, just dogmas.
Carnevil and Cryptkiller need mame2016. So, I think I will stay on 5.20 forever. Very dissapointing.
